Deal Summary

In June 2026, Ceniarth committed $2 million in Cross-Border Impact Ventures’ new fund, the Women’s and Children’s Health Technology Fund II, a follow-on to our $2 million investment in Fund I. Maintaining the same investment strategy, the fund will invest in Series A and B companies that address the healthcare needs of women and children, with emphasis on areas where significant disparities exist related to gender, age, race, wealth or geography.

As with Fund I, Fund II will target companies in established healthtech markets such as North America and Europe that have affordable, globally applicable technologies at the commercial stage. During the holding period, the fund will actively support portfolio companies in expanding access to underserved populations in both high-income and low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Beneficiary Impact

CBIV Fund II seeks to expand access to high-quality healthcare for women and children across diverse backgrounds in high-income countries, while reaching 10 million users in low- and middle-income countries, at least 30% of whom will be in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Intermediary Impact

To our knowledge, CBIV remains the only fund manager applying a gender lens to health technology investments, with a strong focus on underserved beneficiaries in LMICs. The team is deeply committed to ensuring impact alignment throughout the investment process. All prospective investments have their impact potential validated by external experts, and a detailed 10-year impact model is developed for each. These commitments and targets are codified in bespoke “impact agreements” with every new portfolio company and complemented by a strong emphasis on responsible exits.

Capital Additionality

Our investment benefits from meaningful downside protection from catalytic capital. However, our renewed commitment at the first close sends a clear signal of our continued confidence and support for the team.
