BRAC

Founded in Bangladesh in 1972, BRAC has become a global organisation focused on both NGO work and microfinance services. In 2009, a separate international organisation was set up to manage all non-Bangladeshi operations, with the MFIs managed by BRAC. Ceniarth has invested to support MFIs in Tanzania, Uganda, Sierra Leone and Liberia. BRAC’s MFIs provide financial services to women living in poverty using a strategic framework to build financial resilience and female financial empowerment.
