Southern Bancorp Community Partners

Incorporated in 1987, Southern Bancorp Capital Partners is a Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI), focused on building wealth in rural and underserved areas in the United States, primarily in the Mississippi Delta and south Arkansas. Southern Bancorp provides financial services and products to empower low- and middle-income people, the unbanked and underbanked, rural communities, and small businesses with the goal to improve their financial security. Its financial products help people buy and repair homes, start and expand businesses, create and sustain jobs, and create new community resources. Ceniarth invested $500,000 in April 2020 to support Southern Bancorp’s on-lending activities. The loan enables Southern Bancorp to expand flexible loan capital to provide many new loans to people in rural communities.
