Oweesta

Oweesta is a financial intermediary focused on offering financial products and development services exclusively to Native CDFIs and Native communities in the US. Ceniarth provided a loan to Oweesta in 2020. The capital and training that Oweesta provides to Native CDFIs enables these organazitions to develop the capacity required for real and sustainable job creation, small business development, commercial real estate development, and affordable housing/home ownership. It also offers basic banking services and financial literacy training to “underbanked” Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities who have been historically targeted by predatory lending practices.
