Appalachian Community Capital

Appalachia Community Capital (ACC) is an intermediary CDFI based in Virginia. ACC was founded in 2013 by the Appalachian Regional Commission and 11 other CDFIs with the intent to significantly increase business lending in the region by creating one central pool to attract investors at a larger scale. The majority of ACC’s lending is in the form of long-term loans to other CDFIs. All CDFIs in ACC’s portfolio offer loans to small businesses to support working capital, capex and/or real estate acquisition, with some CDFIs also offering loans to developers of affordable housing and community facilities.
